Traveling to India
India has coastline on the three sides, one of the highest mountain ranges of the world called Himalayas on the North and Thar deserts in the middle. In 19th century British ruled over the country and it was famous for snake charmers, elephant rides, camel rides, boat races and today tourists travel to India for its software parks, ITs, historical monuments, yoga, medicines, allopath and herbal treatments.
People travel to India to get a look of the monument of love, Taj Mahal that is the best of the Seven Wonders of the World. New Delhi is the capital city of the country and the Indian metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai are known for their multicultural rich societies. Tourists travel to India to visit Mumbai, the city of Hindi cinema called Bollywood .Mumbai is located close to the sea coast and is near Elephanta, pre-historical caves of Stone Ages.
The Stone Age rock shelters with paintings are also present in Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh state of India which has one of the earliest known traces of human life that goes to some 9000 years back and is called the Indus Valley Civilizations. Some rare temples of the world are present in the country. The tourists travel to India to get a look to the varied cultural heritage of the country in the festivals and fairs like the Gangaur festival, Pushkar festival, International Kite Festival, Camel fair etc.
The country has a diverse religious system and the three most practiced religion of the world Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated from India, though the majority of populations in India follow the religion Hinduism. India also hosts the world's biggest known educational institutions .The study of medicines and natural care systems are available in India famous for Ayurveda and yoga.
